Many of us are now spending more time at home, and for those of us with children finding ways to keep them entertained is essential. To help, we’ve compiled a list of fun and educational activities that you can do with the kids to keep their minds active!
Create a space in your house to play jigsaw puzzles, lego etc. A place the kids can go back and forth to all day. This is a perfect way to keep their concentration and they won’t have to tidy up.
If you want to help educate and engage your child/children then documentary films or series’ could be the perfect solution. You’ll be able to find plenty of kid-friendly documentaries on streaming services like Netflix and iPlayer.
Let the kids wash their plastic toys to encourage cleanliness and show them how to take care of the toys they already have. Add some tear-free bubbles, a couple of sponges and a towel to make this a fun activity!
Create a snack station - add some treats, fruit and other healthy snacks. Perfect for a quick snack between tasks and an excellent way to reward your kids for good behaviour.
Find an empty box and fill it with old clothes or fancy dress items - even bedsheets. Then the kids can dress up and play with minimal clean up!
As Easter is around the corner, why not help the kids make an Easter Nest Cake? An Easter classic, and a perfect way for the kids to help you decorate. Have a look at the recipe by following this link.
Why not create an arts and crafts area? Put down some newspaper, grab some paint and start creating. Here are 50 easy crafts you can try at home if you are looking for a little inspiration.
We hope this list will help for the next few weeks!
